The center will be opened officially with a ribbon cutting ceremony by PAETEC's Chairman and CEO, Arunas Chesonis, as well as other PAETEC and local government leaders.

The 6,500 square feet of space available for customers includes the newest advancements in equipment with connectivity up to 10 Gbps, more energy efficient devices, higher cooling capacity to meet the increasingly powerful applications and a new Bi-Fuel power system providing redundant power generation fueled by conventional diesel, or a cleaner combination of diesel and natural gas. The center is also served by a diverse power grid, separate from New York City and Philadelphia, offering further resiliency in the event of a wide-scale brown-out or power outage in the area.

"This data center includes the latest advancements in technology and complements PAETEC's deep product set well," said Mr. Chesonis. "Network-based systems such as advanced software applications and virtual servers continue to migrate into the cloud, and our customers have expressed a need for a highly secure solution with ease in management and cost savings over them managing these systems themselves."

The new data center builds onto the PAETEC's existing 7,500 square foot center, opened in 2001 which currently houses equipment for more than 60 companies nationally and over 50,000 web domain names.

In addition to the robust infrastructure, and capability to house customer provided applications, the data center supports hosted PAETEC products like Data Backup and Recovery which automatically and securely stores vital corporate data for instant retrieval or the easy-to-use Shared Web Hosting service, which provides a fully managed solution for managing a business' website.
