2009 Net Promoter Scores Are In
PAETEC has adopted the Net Promoter Score evaluation methodology to measure the overall satisfaction of our customer base. We are proud to have received the 2009 NPS score of 17.2, which is well above the industry average. This is a testament to our emphatic commitment to ensuring your satisfaction as a customer is the best it can be. PAETEC's June 2009 NPS increased from the adjusted Q4'08 NPS of 14.3 to 17.2. We have been utilizing the following initiatives to enhance your experience:
- Provide you with enhanced interaction with our Network Operations Center via our customer portal- Increase Customer Care's first call resolution rate by 5%, ensuring that we?re there for you when you need us most
- Perform additional training for Customer Care representatives to support diverse customer order types, improving the order completion interval

One way we do this is through the Telecommunications Service Priority (TSP) Program, which provides national security and emergency preparedness (NS/EP) users with priority authorization of telecommunications services that are vital to coordinating and responding to business crises. The TSP Program provides service vendors with a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) mandate for prioritizing service requests by identifying those services critical to NS/EP. To qualify for the TSP program, your application must be first approved by a federal government sponsor validating that the circuit is essential to national security or emergency preparedness, such as a circuit supporting a hospital or police station. A telecommunications service with a TSP assignment is assured of receiving full attention by PAETEC before a non-TSP service. New Rate Centers and Ethernet Access Coming to a City Near You
This year, local voice and/or Dynamic IP service has been enabled in 210 additional rate centers within PAETEC. This enables customers to add these services in the specific rate centers, a convenient capability that has not been available to you until now. This expansion includes 19 rate centers in San Francisco/Oakland, and three rate centers in Sacramento. These are new markets for PAETEC, served off the Oakland GENBAND switch. This also includes 21 rate centers in Maine, where Dynamic IP services are available off an LGP gateway. Among the product expansion was the enabling of Dynamic IP service in a number of rate centers in various markets: Mobile (AL), Orlando (FL), New Orleans (LA), Memphis and Knoxville (TN). PAETEC continues to prioritize and make customer-ready rate centers, averaging several per week, to facilitate additional voice services.
Twenty Ethernet Access points have also been recently added to our footprint this year making it easier than ever for you to realize the speed and simplicity of end-to-end Ethernet. Internet, MPLS, and VoIP can be provided over a single Ethernet loop where available which lowers cost and network complexity.
