Private IP
Private IP (Internet Protocol), also known as a Virtual Private Network or VPN, securely links two or more locations using network intelligence as opposed to point-to-point connections. PAETEC offers three types of VPN:
MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching)
- Switching intelligence is performed entirely within PAETEC's private network
- Appropriate for time-sensitive applications
- Offers the flexibility of IP and QoS (Quality of Service) with the privacy of ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode)
- Enables application and content hosting inside each VPN
- Transport independent
- Available in speeds from 128 Kbps to 155 Mbps
IPSec
- A "tunnel-based" encrypted network delivered via the Internet
- Complies with HIPAA (Health Information Portability and Accountability Act) standards
- Available in speeds from 128 Kbps to 622 Mbps
Frame Relay
- A widely available, non-encrypted, connection-oriented technology
- Available in speeds from 64 Kbps to 45 Mbps
Dedicated and Burstable Internet
PAETEC's fully managed Dedicated Internet Access combines a high-performance IP (Internet Protocol) backbone, a state-of-the-art IP routing service, and partnerships with communications providers around the globe to provide worldwide Internet connectivity. You and your customers will also enjoy:
- A range of port speeds from 128 Kbps to 1 Gbps (off-net dedicated Internet is available at 1.5 Mbps)
- Industry-leading SLA (Service Level Agreement) guarantees thanks to an IP network designed to never carry more than 50% utilization
- Real-time network usage reporting available 24 x 7 x 365 on PAETEC Online
PAETEC's Burstable Internet solution is ideal if you have customers who typically require plenty of bandwidth for only a few hours a month, such as regularly scheduled data transfers. With Burstable Internet:
- The user chooses his or her maximum data rate, dictating the type of circuit
- Monthly charges are calculated using the highest transfer rate after deducting the top 10% of that month's usage
- Available circuits include T-3 (10 to 45 Mbps in designated blocks), OC-3 (55 to 155 Mbps), and OC-12 (150 to 622 Mbps)
Colocation
PAETEC offers our reseller partners the option of placing their equipment in the same secure and controlled Central Office environment as PAETEC's own network equipment. Colocating with PAETEC also offers:
- Minimized loop costs and multi-market access
- Full-service MRC (Monthly Recurring Charge) that includes electricity, security, and environmental charges
- Unlimited escorted admittance during normal business hours
- Weekly generator testing with your supplied UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply)
- Installation, call-out, and cross-connect services to non-PAETEC facilities
- Racks leased on a full-rack basis with a single 120VAC/60Hz 20Amp circuit (additional AC voltage available for an additional charge)
CPE (Customer Premises Equipment)
Bundled, PAETEC-managed router/channel banks are provided as part of all relevant services.

PAETEC's Reseller Metro Bundles provide a flexible solution that accommodates the needs of resellers for a simple to order, comprehensive packaged solution at a fixed price. Our Reseller Metro Bundles offer you:
